Lords Cricket Ground

Outfield Renovation

Overview

The outfield renovation began with Graden Scarifying in two directions to effectively remove thatch. The debris was then cleared using a Trilo S4 vacuum collector . Following this, the surface was hollow cored , with cores collected by our John Deere Aercore and Sisis Litamisa . A drag mat was used to lift any compacted debris, and a final pass with the Trilo SG400 ensured a pristine finish.

We delivered, supplied, and spread 60 tonnes of Sports Sand using a Dakota 440 spreader , ensuring optimal levelling and drainage. The outfield was then seeded using Vredo Disc Seeding in four directions with a DLF Rye Fescue seed mix applied at a rate of 40g/m², followed by drag matting to complete the process. All debris was removed and responsibly recycled at Fineturf Greenwaste Recycling Centre .

This meticulous process demonstrates our commitment to preserving Lord’s as the premier cricket venue, combining cutting-edge techniques with sustainable practices to ensure enduring quality and excellence.
